We learnt a lot from our two sessions on Posture & Gait last Wednesday with Osteopath Michael Monaghan. (Big thanks from all to Michael)
The assessment was really simple and non intrusive. A quick look at general posture followed by a 1 minute walk on a treadmill which was closely videoed, linked into a laptop and analysed by Michael
One of the most interesting facts was out of 16 people assessed 13 had problems some minor others a little more serious.
Few were aware they had a problem as it was at an early stage.
Most were fixable by just a change in shoe type, insoles and trainers. However if these problems were to go on uncorrected it could lead to major problems such as lower back, knees and joint pain, leg swelling, migraine amongst many others which may need surgery down the road..
But just a simple tweak could have you hopping round like a spring lamb. So my advice is to go to a reputable shoe retailer, Grandstand Sports in Dun Laoghaire, Amphibian King in Bray or some Elverys Sports which have assessment technology.

We also managed to collect €100 for Cancer Awareness on the day.
Well done all who attended and look forward to seeing you bounding round The Fitness Clinic and the streets of Dublin.
