Kale Crisps.

kale-chips-recipeKale is a super green vegetable and part of the cruciferous family as is broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage.

It’s full of calcium, vitamin C and high in fibre which will help lower cholesterol big time.

Making crisps is another great way to get some greens into the kids.

Serves 2-4

Ingredients:

1 Bunch of Kale
1 tsp Olive oil or spray.
Sea salt.

Method:

Cut the leaves of the stalks. Wash and dry thoroughly.

Lightly coat the leaves with oil and salt.

Line a tray with grease proof paper. Spread the leaves evenly.

Place in a heated oven at 180 deg. For 10-15 minutes until the outer leaves turn brown.

Eat straight away as they may turn soggy.

Rather than discard the healthy stems why not steam for 10 minutes and throw them in with the crisps?
